Dr. Anik Das is a dedicated ophthalmologist, specialized in Cornea, Cataract and Ocular Surface. Currently practicing as a Consultant at Netralayam - The Superspeciality Eye Care Centre - in Mukundapur & VIP Road. Prior to joining Netralayam, he was a Consultant in Cornea and Cataract service department at the renowned Sankara Nethralaya.

After completing MBBS and Masters of Surgery (Ophthalmology), Dr. Das joined a long term fellowship in Cornea & Refractive Surgery at Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai. He also done short term Zeiss Comprehensive Ophthalmology fellowship from L.V. Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad. He is a life member of All India Ophthalmological Society and Cornea Society of India and a regular participant at national and state conferences, training programmes and stays aware of the latest research. His passion for helping others regain and maintain optimal vision has driven him to stay at the forefront of the field.

With more than 12 years of experience in the field, Dr. Das is known for his expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of eye conditions, from common refractive errors to complex Corneal disorders providing exceptional eye care to patients of all ages. He is a comprehensive care giver for all eye related problems. Dr. Das is an expert in managing different forms of Cataract surgery - Femto LASER i.e., bladeless Cataract surgery, phacoemulsification under topical anaesthesia and manual methods. He is also interested in Refractive surgeries (SMILE, LASIK, PRK & ICL) and medical management of retinal disorders , like Diabetic retinopathy , Age related macular degeneration and Retinal venous occlusions.

Dr. Das has a vast experience in managing all types of Corneal & Ocular Surface Diseases i.e. Dry eyes Disease, Allergic Conjunctivitis, Keratoconus, Corneal Ulcer, Corneal Dystrophy & Degeneration, Chemical Injury, Ocular Surface Squamous Neoplasia (Cancer), Stevens Johnson Syndrome. He has performed more than 5000 complicated corneal surgeries like Collagen Cross Linking (CXL), Keratoplasty (OPK, DALK, DSEK, TPK), Ocular Surface Surgeries (SLET, AMT & MMG), Corneal Tattooing, Pterygium Excision, Corneal Tear Repair. He is recognised as one of the top Cornea surgeon in the East.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Das is actively involved in community outreach programs, providing vision screening and education to underserved populations. He has also been involved in many patient education programs like TV Shows (Calcutta News and Kolkata TV). He also runs a Facebook page solely for increasing awareness among patients. Once a week he visits the outskirts to see patients and operates. He not only extends his quality work in the city but also, in the outer suburbs.
